I find it stunning that in all the elections I have ever witnessed, I have never known them to be so conspicuously absent. Any thoughts out there as to why? It just seem very strange......

Thanks for your scholarship on the matter. That makes COMPLETE sense.

They look more and more like a racket.

I belong to GOA. They are smaller, but are dead serious about protecting the 2nd amendment.

What's sad is even with Trump there is plenty of work the NRA could do. We have a century worth of unconstitutional limits on guns that need to be removed. The NRA should go back and keep fighting until we have a tank parked in every American's garage.

It certainly looks that way. Just like Fox news is.

This. If the Republican establishment thinks that they can get rid of President Trump and we are going back to the same old kabuki theater, they are sadly mistaken and will cease to exist.

People are on to the game.

It's worse than that. There won't really be a country after this, either.....then we are where the maps end.....

Fuck the NRA... Join GOA and FPC

thunderpussy [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm already with GOA. I'll check out FPC.

The NRA is about in the same boat as Fox news.

The NRA is NOT our friend. They are just as likely to roll over on gun legislation as they are to cash your monthly check.

GOA is a worthwhile organization, as is any local organization looking to fight for freedom at the state level.

I agree. It is SO important to keep up with what is going on at the state level, something that is often overlooked, yet has far larger consequences.

I let my NRA membership expire after the deafening silence after the Rittenhouse situation. They are a racket.

thunderpussy [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Definitely. I joined GOA instead, but I keep a sharp eye on them, as well.

I joined USCCA just in case someone FAAFO and I need a lawyer. I'll have to look into GOA.

Nothing beats showing up to your statehouse, though.

We should save the harshest punishment for these ass hats.

I read they are hurting for cash due to lawsuits but could be wrong.

thunderpussy [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

It just seems like they have been way too quiet for all the money that they get.

I wondered this too ? ...But, the NRA is currently going through a power struggle with Wayne LaPierre's scandals. He is accused of wasting money / spending money on himself lavishly. Many want him out. So a lot of bickering and infighting is going on in the NRA now. I also think they have some money problems because of this as well. BUT THIS IS NO EXCUSE FOR THEM TO NOT HAVE MORE ads or print in favor of at least POTUS ? (I am Life Member)

See the first reply. I believe he is correct. I belong to GOA, as I got tired of watching the NRA being great at raising money, and yet being weak on performance. Then there is the Wayne LaPierre crap.......

How can they fight the fight, when they are corrupt and their shit isn't together?

They are the Fox News of pro 2nd Amendment Groups. Controlled opposition.

More memberships get sold under Democrats than Republicans

EvanOnTheFly 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because no one donated to them this year. They are dying.

Wow. Instead of giving the NRA zero dollars like I did last year, I'm going to give them zero dollars this year instead...

The NRA has been silent for the past 4 years.
