Almost 70,000 mail-in ballots have been received by the Lake County Clerk’s Office, but they have not yet been counted, according to a report by the Illinois State Board of Elections.
The number of uncounted ballots is enough to swing several races, including some that affect neighboring McHenry County.
One of the closest races on the list is the contest for Illinois’ 14th Congressional District, in which incumbent Democrat Lauren Underwood remains 895 votes behind Republican state Sen. Jim Oberweis.
Mail-in ballots in that race have favored Underwood.
With 100% of precincts reporting, unofficial results show Republican challenger Jim Oberweis leading Democratic incumbent Lauren Underwood by 895 votes in the race for the 14th congressional seat.
More than 377,000 votes have been tallied. Oberweis has 50.12% of the vote to Underwood's 49.88% currently.
Those tallies do not include mail-in ballots that have yet to arrive. Ballots postmarked by Tuesday will be counted if they arrive by Nov. 17.
Underwood, of Naperville, is finishing up her first term in Congress and was among a bevy of Democrats who turned over long held Republican seats in Congress in 2018.
Oberweis, a dairy magnate and state senator from Sugar Grove, has sought multiple statewide and federal offices over the years.

Regarding Nevada, the border areas in California I think mostly are red and are sparsely populated so I'm not sure fraud would've originated there but there's a lot of Californians from the more populated areas that live part time in Nevada I think so I think the search would have to be expanded for this case.
I live in N Cal. The border area adjacent to Reno is very rural and MAGA country. If people enter Reno from N Cal to illegally vote, it would be from Sacramento and the Bay Area.
