The problem is that they form large groups and then pick on smaller groups. Individually they are weak but they have a strong collective mentality while we tend towards individualism. 1000 of them marching down your street terrorizing would be tough for anyone to deal with
Target rich environment, Hit and Hide, Multiple sources, multiple players, throw in some IED and Molotov cocktails and we have game time. Ham radio operators are very effective along with CBs and Truckers. We tend to be individuals in getting rid of the RATS but collectively we know the cause. Yea, there will be losses but in Hit and run/hide with the grid down and no trucks to deliver food in the city it is a VERY SHORT FIGHT. No Elec, no food storage or water. The RATS will be eating themselves after about 3 days.
Hypothetical full war scenarios favor the right. Maybe by a large margin especially if the infrastructure of the world degrades. But thankfully there’s a long road between that and where we are now. I’m not willing to hurt anybody else intentionally just because they march into my neighborhood and destroy a few things. Measured responses.
