I find that I automatically feel more inclined to believe that something is true if twitter is telling me that it's false.

100% this. I take the opposite meaning of anything they say, and whatever they accuse Trump of they are guilty of themselves.

Putting a label on it was the dumbest thing they could ever do. It's assuming that readers don't have an opinion already, and can be influenced at the point of reading it. It's such a stupid solution to the 'problem' they are trying to solve. How many people who don't already hate Trump are actually on twitter, reading that and thinking "Well, gosh. If twitter says it's disputed, I guess I'm never going to look into this again!"
