It's important to understand your addiction and why you can't focus. Our brains are seeking that constant dopamine surge of good news. We've been getting a steady stream of meaningful evidence that gives us hope.

Much of the driving factor to come here is to look for more hope. Your brain is telling you there is a really big threat looming right now, and its instinct is going to be to search common pathways to try and alleviate that stress.

It's very similar to porn addiction. It becomes almost an instinct when you're stressed to look at porn and relieve the tension and flood your brain with chemicals.

We are all very stressed and we're refreshing this site with an addicted fervor trying to get the next small hit to calm us down.

Don't pretend that you're in a rational state of mind. You've tied up all of your value and the future of this country to this one man and one Presidency. For better or worse. I will not say this election isn't extremely impactful, but we are potentially over invested based on the actual impact we can make.

HERE IS THE WARNING

There is a chance. Maybe even a good chance, that Trump does not win. This is a lot to overcome with a lot of evidence. I'm feeling good now, but I'm on a high looking at complete fraud across the country. The truth is, If one thing, just one thing, goes the wrong way. Say AZ turns blue. Or PA does not turn red, we are going to be hit with a proverbial set of bricks with no form of escape anymore. If the path gets closed, we're basically tossed into a hopeless depression.

HERE IS THE ADVICE

Take. A. Break. Refreshing T_D will not change the court cases that will happen one bit. Refreshing will not add one more vote to the tally for Trump. Refreshing won't force a recount. Take care of what you can control. Yourself and your immediate circle. The rest will go the way it goes. We'll have to take it one step at a time no matter what.
