Uhhh I thought this was a load of crap but I just tried it and there is something there. I'm a graphic designer, there is no reason to leave alternative text like that in your file.
I would imagine they would be following a style guide that would call for exact color, font, font size etc. So no reason for smaller text. There also seems to be a gradient on the "the future of…?" text further down.
