Ever heard someone say they sexually identify as an apache attack helicopter? I don't know where the meme came from, but it was basically used to discredit gender identity since "gender" cannot be proven. If you can "identify" as a different gender than your biological sex then you should be able to "identify" as an inanimate object too. Personally, I identify as a jackhammer :)
