I am a software engineer. The GOP needs to get access to the source code and all log outputs for voting systems. They need to have a team of experts to look into it. There may be many code repositories with many versions that make up the software. We need access to the version control history as well, because code could be deleted.
We know they installed updates very recently. Its important to look for any APIs that could alter vote totals or other methods and interfaces that other softwares could access and alter votes.
The machines should also be taken as evidence in their current state so the code on the machine can be decompiled and analyzed.
