The arguments in the video were twofold. 1. That the line should not be regular if it was not manipulated by an algorithm, and that 2. It was going in the wrong direction.

But yes. More analyses including the opponent's results would have been helpful.

Edit: also, I believe their argument is that it should not drop below zero on the Y axis.

I think it would still be a straight line in your example. If everyone voted Trump, you are right about (x=0, y=100) but for x= 100, meaning 100% voted straight party, then single votes would be 0, differnce is 100 still, meaning (x=100, y=100) giving a straight line.

You are right! Checked video again, individual candidate votes do not include rsp votes! Ugh, my head hurts...
