I want to help by saving videos before they are taken down, but I am tech challenged and on top of that, have linux. I tried using youtube dl but got a message that it wouldn't work. Someone said I'd need python, tried to download that, but there was so much stuff I didn't understand. It's not like a regular download. If you know how to help me, please do. Can dm me if you prefer. Thanks.

Okay, thanks! Just one problem. I don't know what to do with this. Lol. I'm serious. This is what I see when I open that link.

Git Clone URL: https://aur.archlinux.org/video-downloader.git (read-only, click to copy) Package Base: video-downloader Description: GTK application to download videos from websites like YouTube and many others (based on youtube-dl) Upstream URL: https://github.com/Unrud/video-downloader

So what do I do now? Sorry to be a pain, but this is important. Thanks.

I have no idea. I don't know what you're talking about. Lol. My kid gave me the computer. I check email and come here. I know nothing about any of this stuff. I think it's Mint.

Thanks, pede. I appreciate your help and patience. Just one thing, what is a terminal? (I'll see if I can find the info through a search.)
