I want to help by saving videos before they are taken down, but I am tech challenged and on top of that, have linux. I tried using youtube dl but got a message that it wouldn't work. Someone said I'd need python, tried to download that, but there was so much stuff I didn't understand. It's not like a regular download. If you know how to help me, please do. Can dm me if you prefer. Thanks.

Hey pede, I did find out how to do it when I did a search. Unfortunately, even though I followed the steps carefully, it didn't work. But I did find a way to DL manually, so that's good enough for me! Very much appreciate your help though. Wish I could return the favor.
Okay, I did it twice and it's not working. I guess I'll just have to leave the downloading to your other pedes. I double checked spelling and spacing to make sure. Last thing it said when I put in the password was, command not found. Bummer. Thanks anyway for your help.
Yes, it didn't work with your version or the other, but I did a search for how to manually download and found an easy way to do it. I actually just posted a thank you post for all the pedes help. So thanks again. At least I have a way to help now. :D
