The police departments within Minnesota want to "rent" police from the local counties' Sheriffs' departments.

They want to prove, above all else, that they were right. If you help to enable that experiment, you will be adding to a completely fucked system where they are able to fiscally defund police and then "rent" police as needed from other departments and not give any of them proper pensions or pay! Not to mention that they certainly will not back you in cases where you need to legally defend yourselves against self-defense cases where you legally shot someone in the course of your legal job.
These people who are on the City Councils of these Minnesota cities are absolutely trash people who have made it known to us that they do not care about the lives of their police because they plan only to defund your departments but have no plans to boost your defenses in the course of their "experiment":.
They have made it obvious that they view you, and even your lives, as "necessary sacrifices in the path to racial justice". The rest of us who love Trump do not feel this way. Your lives are precious and we believe that you should never have to risk those lives, EVER, in the name of risk over criminals you may come across in the course of your daily jobs. I personally believe their lives were already forfeit if they are a criminal.
As a singular, non-deputized non-LEO person, I can assure you that many of us here would, and would probably take some small but differential joy in, having to exert lethal force over someone who is attacking us. We here do not like criminals, but likewise, we are good people. We don't want to hurt innocent people either. Were someone to be a criminal, we would feel very little negative social pressure if we had to eliminate them in the course of the line of duty.
