My guy, previously it was like every 30-50 years we were in a significant conflict. Since the 1940s, it’s been pretty much every decade.

I wouldn't call the Spanish American War an upset. It was exceptionally one-sided and everyone knew it. It wasn't called ''a splendid little war'' for nothing.

Same for Desert Storm. The biggest issue during Desert Storm was the overall US commander of the allied forces being angry as fuck that they couldn't progress quickly enough because the Iraqi troops were surrending in such droves it stalled the advance.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria are the same. They're an annoyance, but nothing really mayor.
