This is what they want. All the white cops are quitting and at the same time they are lowering the standards to become a cop. Known gangbangers are becoming cops. They will now harass citizens with impunity and say it's ok because "white cops did it to black men for decades..."
Trouble on the horizon
This is NOT happening. Morale is shit in the NYPD right now, but they are not accepting gang bangers into the academy.
From the NYPD:
Disqualifiers: Candidates will be disqualified if they have been convicted of a felony, domestic violence misdemeanor, or have been dishonorably discharged from the military. Candidates may also be disqualified if they demonstrate a history of disrespect for the law, a tendency toward violence, termination from a job for poor behavior, or not adjusting to discipline.
I was referring to Chicago, where this is happening. I understand this post was about NYPD. My sentiment was about the police departments in general across the country. I'm sorry for the confusion. I'm not trying to be misleading. Theybwant the old seasoned cops out of there.
