Why has Newsmax gained so much traction over OANN?

Chanel is bae.

Newsmax is free online and OANN is subscription. (unless you go to a portal like ustvgo.tv)

I get OANN thru AT&T streaming but haven't found out how to get Newsmax except thru a different TV that has RoKu installed

Also newsmax is available on cable. For me to switch from fox to newsmax I just push the mic button on my remote and say newsmax. To get oann I have to do a lot more work.

That's OAN Encore. Not the same as their live broadcast.

Good point -- Pluto TV has OAN Encore, not the live channel.

Klowd TV has the live channel.

Fucking Cox Cable won't add it. People have literally been asking for years.

I have access to TV ratings and OAN is not publicly rated nationally (as most small networks are not) Meaning that they get their own internal numbers but they won’t show up in the official Nielsen ratings rankings. Hopefully this surge gets them on the big boy stand and they can go public with ratings.

I am curious which three news channels they are coming in behind. Mostly, I wanna know who's coming in behind them.

They are probably coming in behind the big three (Fox News, cnn and msnbc) and beating other smaller news nets like CNBC, Fox Business, Headline News (HLN) etc. For OAN it’s not an issue of quality as much as it’s an issue of carriage. They don’t have as many subscribers as the big guys because they aren’t carried on a lot of the major cable providers.
