shit alright. Do females have to do any yet or do they still just have to hang there and get the same points to their comp score as a male who does 23 pullups? Along with their 21 minute (LOL slow af) 3 mile time for a perfect score?
CHESTY FUCKIN PULLER! (peace be upon him) Glad to see a Marine stickied at the top. In case you're wondering what this man's stack looked like: 5 Navy Crosses (yes, 5), Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, 2 Legion of Merit w/ "V" Device, Bronze Star Medal w/ "V" Device, 3 Air Medals and a Purple Heart.
Come at my mans Audie Murphy!
Pure. Bad. Ass.
Spez: if you're wondering how a man like Chesty (peace be upon him) can do this much without getting a Medal of Honor, its because he frequently told the Army to suck a fat cock and Ike didnt like him. Also why he never picked up that 4th star. WE NEVER FORGET ARMY!
Spez 2: I couldn’t be happier that on Veterans Day, I helped start a thread of arguments between Marines and soldiers. It’s like Christmas with my Marine sister and soldier brother and me. Just glorious. I’m glad you civvies are getting a taste on the loving feud between the branches. Enjoy your high tech weaponry and optics while Marines actually get shit done with shitty secondhand gear, like invading Iraq with iron sights, the same I used to shoot 500yds in my first expert rifle qualification (how far does Army shoot again for their qual?). 😉
Audie was just in for the duration of WWII. Unfortunately, they would not let him into West Point to continue his career as an officer. Audie fought as bravely as Chesty, but he was not a Battalion CO or Regimental CO. I am quite sure that Murphy would have made a great CO on ANY level had he remained in the military. Btw, as many of you may know, millions of very able soldiers and Marines were let go at the end of WWII as demobilization destroyed many billets - just no room in a very downsized force. Even men who wanted to stay in were told to go away.
I have nothing against Audie at all. It was simply a low blow jab at the Army. I’m from a family of Army vets, including my brother, until my sister and I joined the Marines. Just tryin to rile up the soldiers here :)
His CPs were on the front lines. That’s what made him different. You don’t send your fucking colonel to assault a bunker because they are too valuable. This is why Marine officers don’t wear shiny brass rank insignias in combat, they wear black like enlisted so they don’t stand out because a sniper knows to pick off the officers first, and for good reason. This is why enlisted Marines will shield their O-2 platoon commander from bullets with their own bodies. I have a multitude of issues with officers and the difference in how they are treated, especially with how resistant the military and specifically the Marine Corps are with handing out medals for valor, but you greatly underestimate how important moral and motivation are within a unit and how it effects combat effectiveness, and that falls squarely on the shoulders of the CO.
Marines may eat crayons, but we know a good leader when we see one, and the manner in which we follow that Marine officer is dependent on how that leader is viewed in the unit.
You are as misinformed as a Biden voter. Chesty Puller earned all of his awards in a career spanning from WW I to Korea, starting out as a Private at the end of WW I (though he didn't serve in that war). Do some reading and put down the meth pipe, Hunter. And while Audie Murphy was a brave soldier, he was an actor after WW II and Chesty was still leading troops...and served in another war, leading Marines in Korea. Audie Murphy is not greater than Chesty Puller.
There's enough patriotism to share on our 11-11-11 Day of Peace, the Day the Guns fell silent.
Even though today isn't Decorations Day... My neighbor growing up was one of the few who had German shrapnel in him from the trenches in The Great War(WWI), and Japanese shrapnel in him (as a Marine) from the Pacific Islands in WW2.
To all those front-line combat veterans and troops out there whom have stories which you'll never tell your spouse, kids, or any average soul; from him, I pass onto you prayers of solice if you need it.- Quaker Pede
This guy is a former Marine who served in units formerly commanded by Chesty Puller. And Audie Murphy is an actor. And you're a low information Biden voter.
Vaguely related, and 100% TRUE not a joke, a buddy of mine has a friend who did time in the Graybar Hotel, and caramel kettle popcorn saved his life.
Not kidding! He figured out how to combine popcorn a various other ingredients from the prison commissary using a process that turns those ingredients into caramel kettle popcorn. He wisely kept the process secret.
He made lots of it and sold it to his fellow inmates, who LOVED the stuff. Well, at some point some gang decided they didn't like him (for some reason unrelated to the kettle corn), and they were going to kill him, but basically all the other inmates in the other gangs caught wind of it and sent the word out: NO, YOU DON'T KILL HIM. Why? Because all the other gangs wanted to keep getting the awesome snack he made!
Hilarious, and true. He was eventually released, quite alive.
Related to that, another friend of his (yes he has multiple ex-con friends!) was sent to prison for stealing stuff from his employer.... a construction company. In New York state. And this guy had a super-ultra-Italian-sounding name. Once he gets to prison he doesn't tell anyone WHY he's in there, but does tell them his name, and that he was in the construction business, and remember this is NY state.
EVERYONE treated him really, really well with lots of politeness and respect. Haha, I wonder why!
Got a buddy who during the push to marjah (sp?) had a fellow Marine who got shot. His other buddy jumped from cover and grabbed that wounded Marine, dragging him to the berm they were behind and pushed him over. As he climbed over himself he was shot and killed.
They gave him a fucking NAM, posthumously. Handed it to his disgusted father. My buddy got a NAM for putting out an aircraft engine fire in garrison. Another female Marine got a NAM for training like 100 people to be plane captains. This guy sacrificed himself to save another Marine and got the same recognition, not the Cross he probably deserved. I’ve never heard a Marine from that unit say a nice thing about their CO, who also gave himself a Purple Heart because a piece of rock from a bullet hitting the wall hit his hand and gave him a booboo, in the same firefight where a 19 year old PFC got a Purple Heart for a fatal shot to the face. That CO got in the stack on the house these hajis were in (they were in a base and managed to escape and blockade themselves in a building on that base) and when that PFC went in, the CO didn’t follow. Sent him in alone.
Trump is a Christian in action, not words. That's a rare thing in this age.
It's sad that he is so unappreciated by half of the country. Sad for them, not him. By wasting their time and energy hating him, they're missing out on the greatest President in their lifetime.
Trump is a believer in Norman Vincent Peale's Power of Positive Thinking, a fundamentally Christian doctrine that you can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth us.
Trump is a master at forcing a battlefield context where he wins. However, battles are not won by generals fighting alone, he needs supporters and followers. And, out of liberal enemies, he will recruit them.
Trump created a fiendishly simple trap his opponents walked right into by attempting to steal the election. It's one primary and inescapable question we all must decide - does our vote count?
It is no longer about skin color, your preferred pronouns or climate change. Now, a mere four days later, the only question to be decided is whether we live in a constitutional democratic republic where your vote is cast and it is counted correctly.
That's it. Trump has narrowed down his entire election campaign to whether you believe the freedom to vote matters.
I believe that Biden supporters are a mere fraction of Trump supporters. And of those Biden supporters, 50% are good honest people that support constitutional freedoms and will disown Biden when the proof comes out.
Honestly they have been and I think they've said way too much already. Shouldn't be giving criminals and their lawyers even an ounce of intel before they have to.
I just heard ABC news say, over the radio in a small town restaurant, that there is no evidence of fraud and that the Veritas witness racanted. IT"S INFURIATING to hear news agencies lie to the American public.
That was the Army who said that during the Battle of the Bulge. Not Marines. Yes, it matters, Marines aren't soldiers (so please stop calling us soldiers). Story time.
After the Frozen Chosin (where this quote comes from), the Army retreated leaving their gear and some of their wounded behind. As Chesty (peace be upon him) and his Marines retreated behind the Army, they collected the gear and Army wounded on their way. When they reached "safety," The Army commander thanked Chesty and asked for his men's gear. Chesty had the Marines paint USMC on all of that gear and told the Army commander that he would have to fight him for it.
There is a reason Marines are the tip of the spear.
Funny story that goes along with this story. In Iraq, there was a crane that needed repair. Marine and Army construction equipment mechanics train together for AIT. Well anyways this crane was Army, but fixed by a Marine unit. When they went to wind out the boom, the Marines spray painted USMC on it.
I 100% promise you they were thinking of Chesty when they did it. This story, like many others in our history (Smedly Butler, Dan Daily, Jason Dunham), is told to every Marine in bootcamp.
That’s actually a brilliant way to look at it…
There is so much fraud, it doesn’t matter where you start your investigation it’s grounds to keep going because you WILL find it!
I'm an Army guy (1986-94) but ADMIRE all branches and especially the mighty mighty Chesty Puller - hooRAW Marines!!! I always hesitate to say "Happy" Veterans Day - instead, have a reflective Veterans Day with compatriots, family, friends....
I see some heavy debating about which officer was better or branch of the military . I would like to say, Thank you to all soldiers! I love every single one of you and I thank the Good Lord that we have all branches of the United States Military! When it comes down to it, every man who signs up for the military might be called on to risk their lives for the freedom of America. Note, yes, I did say men and I meant men. I am grateful for the females who do their part but it's the men who won't be given a choose on whether they go to the front line or not.
The problem commies and lefties have is they think that we're locked in this country with them. They have it wrong though. They're locked in this country with us.
Goodnight Chesty, wherever you are.
He is in heaven, waiting for Marines to bang out their 20 pull-ups, plus one more for Chesty.
He didn't die. He just went to Heaven to regroup.
shit alright. Do females have to do any yet or do they still just have to hang there and get the same points to their comp score as a male who does 23 pullups? Along with their 21 minute (LOL slow af) 3 mile time for a perfect score?
I was told, not as a joke, that the fixed arm hang is actually harder. Fucking ridiculous.
You ever seen a BAM bust out more than 2? or even 1? Of course it is.
I actually have. One of my SSgts was an absolute savage. Her husband was a MARSOC operator and she dipped on flights. She was bad too. A unicorn
Let me guess, walking mattresses still doing flexed-arm hang? LOL
Did they really!?
Still 20... It didn't change for perfect score, I was still on active duty in 2017.
I only get paid to do 20 gunny
Lol !!!
I'm the mothafuckin senior lance corporal, that's who I am!!
ahh, a fellow terminal lance lol. YUT YUT.
I BUY my pornography because I’m a fuckin PATRIOT.
My favorite Chesty quote is the one from when he was first shown a demonstration of a flame thrower:
"Where the hell do you mount the bayonet?"
Give'em one for Chesty!
sobs
Came here to say that. Our senior DI used to say that every night as we hit the rack.
CHESTY FUCKIN PULLER! (peace be upon him) Glad to see a Marine stickied at the top. *Marine
Nothing more irritating as a Marine than being called a “soldier.”
I'm used to it because I joined the guard and then the army reserves once I got out of the Corps.
I hear you though
Audie Murphy.. Now that was an American Hero we all looked up to. Starred in his own movies btw.
How dare you. How absolutely dare you! Audie is a great American hero, but he is no Chesty Puller (peace be upon him).
He ain't no Chesty
ONE MORE PUSHUP! DO IT FOR CHESTY!
Pull-ups. **** Push ups is some Army/Navy shit.
Settle down devil pup
You have to distract them with crayons, fact.
I mean, they’re really delicious.
Lol
He was a Marine not a soldier. Other than that you’re right.
You should probably look into this more, the USMC doesn't give out awards like the Army and Navy. You have zero idea what you are talking about.
Imagine using more emojis than my teenage daughter.
His CPs were on the front lines. That’s what made him different. You don’t send your fucking colonel to assault a bunker because they are too valuable. He did the first ones, not so much the Korean ones.
The lack of details in your comments make it obvious you are taking generalities and applying them to Chester.
WTF would you do that?
All the SNCOs did too.
Not with a V tho. That’s the difference.
I respect your opinion but dont you dare question Chesty Puller (peace be upon him) ever again.
You are as misinformed as a Biden voter. They should still refer to today as Armistice Day. Veterans Day just doesn't do it.
This guy is a former Marine who served in units formerly commanded by Chesty Puller. And Audie Murphy is an actor. And you're a low information Biden voter.
You're really butthurt.
For sure.
I am a Marine and Army vet. Did one Iraq tour with the Guard and ok with the Army reserve.
I am familiar with all the people we are talking about and the difference is the way awards are handed out in the different services.
Rofl get a load of this retard
Yeah man. We like to eat crayons. And then take Fallujah in 3 days because the Army couldn’t. Tip of the spear babyyyyyy
LOLLL The competition between the Army maintainers and Marines has been over for a long time.
Evidence: Fallujah.
Officers get Silver Stars for making the perfect pot of coffee while indirect lands within a few KM.
I remember a joke where some guy got a bronze star with valor for making dope as fuck macaroni and cheese.
Vaguely related, and 100% TRUE not a joke, a buddy of mine has a friend who did time in the Graybar Hotel, and caramel kettle popcorn saved his life.

Old Man always said Silver Star was for those that shit in their Commanding Officers cereal. But Chestys' the man.
Tickle Me Pink was always my favorite flavor. yut
That is amazing. BAYONET FLAMETHROWER WOULD BE AWESOME

It is a doctrine that enables miracles.
Peale was the minister of the Presbyterian church he attended as a boy, I believe.
Peale was the officiant at one of Donnie's marriages. I think it was the one to Marla. I presume Tiffany attended in utero.

Dear God you're right
what I don't understand is, how come our lawyers haven't put the proof out on national TV? shouldn't this be an open and shut case by now?
Because you save that for the courts. You play your hand early and the cheaters will know how they need to cheat.
Honestly they have been and I think they've said way too much already. Shouldn't be giving criminals and their lawyers even an ounce of intel before they have to.

Yep, but then we got our Air Force, drawing dicks in the sky.
takes all types man.
They deserve a lot of the shit they get, but the dicks were awesome.
hahaha. do they actually do that? If someone let me in a cockpit, I'd be drawing sky cocks all day.

Ahahahahaha, that is so glorious! I approve my tax dollars funding these shenanigans.
I would categorize that work as "flight precision practice".
That's pretty boss, not going to lie.
Probably the biggest dick ever sculpted by man. Impressive.
I know it was. Both instances present the situation of relishing a fight while being surrounded. I know exactly ehat it is

Chesty fucking Puller
Fuckin-A, and lol @ me scanning thru my pics yesterday, saw this one of Chesty Puller, thought this very thing!

Chesty Puller — What a Magnificent Bastard — read his biography back in the 60’s. The epitome of a Warrior
...the position of the brass on his collar triggers me so fucking hard.
don't let it this is from world war two it may have been different then, and it is a combat photo and his collar is bent
That is the power of positive thinking right there. The essence of Conservatism.
