I’m guessing a ton of bandwidth and redundant servers are necessary. Gawd I hope we’re not housed on some third party server like Amazon where Bezos could cut our link to the servers. permalink save report block reply ▲ 5 ▼ – deleted 5 points 155 days ago +5 / -0 ▲ 3 ▼ – kekNation 3 points 155 days ago +3 / -0 That is insane. Why do places like Instagram or Facebook requires so many employees and so many employees to run? Instagram started as a simple code, written by dudes eating chicken tendies in mom’s basement, that allowed users to post a pic and some comments. Now it’s a simple code, maintained by an army of H1B1 visa holders making six figure salaries, that allows users to post a pic and some comments. Why do these companies need massive facilities and all these guest workers from other countries? permalink save report block reply ▲ 4 ▼ – Nimblenavigator1 4 points 155 days ago +4 / -0 Because we come in under budget and ahead of schedule! permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 2 ▼ – deleted 2 points 155 days ago +2 / -0
