Even just a warning shot is enough to send them scattering. No more looter privilege!

No warning shots.

For one thing, in a lot of places, shooting with the intent to wound/kill those you believe mean you harm is completely legal, but a warning shot into the air is not because it's reckless discharge - you don't know what or who that rogue bullet might hit.

For another, ammo is too freaking expensive right now to waste.

You are never supposed to shoot a warning shot. You only shoot because you are fearing for your life. A warning shot suggest otherwise. I cannot stress enough never a warning shot.

We can simply make warning shots legal.

I am responsible for that bullet until it stops - so warning shots could be asking for a lawsuit or jail time if something bad happened down the street such as the bullet entering someones car windshield etc.... point being shoot when necessary and aim good !!

this. There doesn't need to be any actual physical confrontation. Just a show of strength and making them know we mean business can scare them away and prevent them from doing anything
