The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners wants to thank you and the 800,000-plus voters who participated ahead of Election Day through Vote by Mail and Early Voting. We hope your experience was a good one. Our goal in 2021 will be to build on the successes and enhance these systems in the years to come.
Currently, we are busy making sure every valid ballot is counted to certify the results to the Illinois State Board of Elections by November 24, 2020. You may visit our website at chicagoelections.gov to find the preliminary results, and on November 24, the proclamation. We also invite you to update your voter information at any time or browse the information on our website.

Heard from a friend who is an election judge in southern Illinois that they used regular ball point pens for paper ballots. Crook County had felt tip Sharpies that bled thru. I'd like to check online if my ballot counted but Illinois doesn't have any way of doing that.
Sharpie given to me in Oak Park.
They didn't pull this in my county but if they tried I would have straight up hid a pen in my bra.
I can confirm that everyone I saw, at the Williamson County Courthouse, was handed a ballpoint pen.
Brought my own pen. Was fully prepared to use their pandemic logic against them if they tried to stop me from using it.
Yeah, this was one of the first times in a long while that they actually provided ball points at the poll. I'm in SIL, and they've handed out sharpies before.
