I don't think we can allow social platforms of that size without heavy, heavy regulation that essentially makes them anonymous posting boards / constitutionally protected posting boards, much in the same way 4chan operates and how Craigs List use to be.
The power is too great, the ability to coerce key people running these platforms is too likely, regimes like China have exceptionally sophisticated entrapment programs, because that's basically all they've been doing since they took over.
