We would be completely fragmented and censored. Let this site be your marker for when the time has come. If the site gets taken offline...its time.
I didn't give my email when I first signed up, but I have since. The mods must have it, and others, on a server somewhere. Should something terminal happen, we can all be contacted with a link to the new site... and there will be a new site.
That's nothing to worry about, our mods are taking care of it. You have been here for some time, you know about our server issues, I wouldn't worry about it now. If something happens we'll definitely improvise, till then we .win.
DDOS typically works by overloading the scripting engine of the site. In case of overwhelming attack, mods could replace the site with a static redirect pointing to a new home that would be hard to overload.
Servers shutting down due to "TOS" violation would be harder, but if they keep control of the DNS they can always point the domain name to somewhere else.
