Banks already use the technology. Its early days but will get exponential at some point. The value of paper money will eventually be transferred into mostly digital tokens.
I dont know how it works in the states but in the Uk a £20 note from 20 years ago is worthless unless you find a shmuck on ebay or hand it down so a great grandson can maybe sell it as an antique.
I honestly think the only thing that can stop it from happening naturally is some sort of natural disaster that manages to somehow destroy all electronic devices, the internet and wireless technology. So unless the world ends basically...
Its crook-proof in that every transaction is logged so auditing isnt an issue. But you also need it to be supported and maintained by a trustworthy operation.
