I bet $2k on a Trump victory. If we win, I will get almost $20k.

If the election is thrown out and one representative from each state votes, do some websites get to keep all the money? I ask because I know "predictit.org" says specifically "Which party will win the Electoral College?" not "which candidate will win?"

Always depends on the description. Some bets used CNN as their conclusion website, so even if Trump still wins, people who used that bet lost.

The bets I bought use the information provided by the Department of State in those States.

Or the inauguration on January 20th. So if Trump wins but somehow dies before inauguration, I lose my money too.

I don't think it's possible for them to keep the money. It's always either a win or a lose.

When. Not if. Congrats on the profit!

Well there is some risk depending on the conclusion of the bet. Some bets are concluded based on AP/CNN or similiar, obviously I didn't buy these.

Mine are based on Department of State. Hopefully there will be no wrong results published!

I'm about to do the same, but... I don't gamble and don't quite understand the site (I'm on betfair).... there's 4 columns. I'm assuming I want to click "back all" for Trump, right? But don't understand the 2 columns before it. Looks like "back all" gives me 10.5, going to put $1,000 in for almost 10k payout. Just want to be sure I'm actually betting on trump to win before I do so lol

Don't use betfair. Use Polymarket. It's using cryptocurrency and there are no fees on the betting site - way better odds for you.

Just make sure to read the description and check the terms for conclusions. Some bets conclude(d) based on CNN's website.... Obviously you have to avoid those, as CNN picks the winner regardless of the real outcome.

Only use the one being based on Department of State or Inauguration

the blue column on betfair is for that particular thing to win so yes, youd want to back trump. apparently lay bet means betting against that particular outcome but that still doesnt make sense to me because the odds there are still 10/1 lol

What's the cheapest way to get usdc?

I have accounts on a couple crypto exchanges but I'm wondering the best way to get close to a 1:1 ratio

Thank you for this info! I don't have much at the moment but for now placed a $100 bet there because not doing it was one of my regrets the last election. Never thought there would be another chance where people would assume Trump can't win, but here we are.

I already made a profit by selling the bet whenever it went up and re-buying whenever it went down. I basically doubled my money. Either I can take out the original input and still win $20k without any risk, or I leave it all in and win $40k now.

That's so crazy, thanks for explaining better!

May I ask, where did you bet and what exactly did you bet on?
