A .22 has the stopping power of a piece of paper. You'd be better served by the 9mm.
I get hyperbole, but man are you off on this. Does a 9 have more “stopping power” than a .22? Sure. Does a .22 have the stopping power greater than paper? Fuck yeah. I’ve killed all manner of critters with a .22, including numerous deer, coyotes, gophers, etc. A piece of lead traveling from 1000 to 1700 fps will fuck up your day. A high velocity round will go 14 inches into ballistic gel. I’ve shot a .22 lr round through 8 pieces of sheet rock. Again, not to say it’s as good as a 9 for pure “stopping power” but they’re much easier to control, and the capacity of some .22lr are insane. Just my two cents.
