a) The Chinese are rather superstitious people, and gauge the legitimacy of their government by the frequency and intensity of natural disasters. Releasing it on themselves would have been catastrophically stupid.
b) The timing and the location of the first cases are extremely suspect. Wuhan is one of the largest transportation hubs in the world. And Chinese New Year is the greatest migration of humans anywhere.
If you wanted to infect as many human beings as possible but could only go to one place and one time, Wuhan during CNY is the place you would choose.
The CCP doesn't have nearly as much control as Americans (especially conservative Americans) seem to believe they do. Wuhan is kinda far from Beijing. I think it's completely plausible that Obama's CIA outsourced their biowarfare to a Chinese lab without the Chinese government knowing.
