Most of the time you can view and respond on the forum without an account (which is free) but lately due to all the shills after the election, it has mostly been accessible with a free account only.
It is the best site for breaking news of all kinds. There are also some pretty stupid threads but overall, it is awesome.
I usually read things days in advance that finally filters out to other sites or MSM. It would be worth your time to get to know.
