In totally unrelated news, honest, Starlink is getting pretty rave reviews at $100/mo with decent (gaming level!) speeds/lag for everywhere that isn't currently a Blue Shithole.
I have been on the list for Beta! As I have 1 bar for cell reception and 9mbps centurylink is the only ISP available.... where are people currently using it geographically “?
The rumormill of YouTube was saying that SpaceX chose their "Early Beta" groups as "Upper North America", but that they were intentionally tightly clustering them, instead of just spreading out across the northern states.
IMO, they have enough up right this second for anywhere in the states. So, I dunno what they're picking for this wave.
At $80/mo, I was going to jump immediately. At $100 ... hmm. Anywhere outside the major cities - there's telcom giants that are going to get involuntary proctology.
