Why would you sell off stocks in a company that could reasonably expect to see a huge share price increase because you just invented an awesome vaccine? Could it be that the vaccine is actually harmful? What does 90% effective mean when it comes to a vaccine? Does that mean that it simply doesn't work 10% of the time? Of that 10%, is there a percentage that will die or be harmed? Why would you take a vaccine that is 90% effective for a virus with a 99.97% survival rate?

My thoughts exactly. Why would you sell stock, any amount of stock, prior to coming out with a huge money maker.

How much is his entire stock portfolio worth? If the 5 million is a significant chunk, I would be highly suspicious.

My guess is that 5 million is pocket change for assholes like this but it still doesn't make much sense.

5 Mil may be nothing relative to their full worth, but its enough to fly off to some location thats safe, while keeping your billions.

flu is only like 40%,,,,so even if this vaccine is 50% it would be a game changer

I wouldnt put it past them to put out a faulty product that kills people and blame Trump for fast tracking it.

As long as the information is public before the sale it’s not illegal to do this.

Stock sales like this have to be disclosed months in advance to the SEC.

Not illegal, but slimy.
