well that may be the case but looking at it from another perspective they are also terrified of the CCP with the amount of blackmail they have on everyone and they're trying to convince china more than the US population (and by that i mean leftists that live in fantasyland) that they "won". they even made up an entire "office of the president elect" (which doesn't exist) and had everyone come out on stage (pre-recorded and played to a parking lot full of jeeps and a handful of paid actors) while they set up a fake stage.
