I know he doesn't have the time to read through all this tweets and block all these swamp donkeys but his staffers do. Is it for optics/transparency that he doesn't block anyone? Does he just not want to give anyone his password?

He is legally barred from doing it after a whole bunch of leftists sued. Thing is the ruling made all government employees, or at least elected unable to block on twitter(this isnt really being followed in most cases though as their has to be a suit for it to be enforced).
1 - Elected officials on their official accounts are not supposed to block people
