I think it's more of a balance... we have to help others, for sometimes they cannot help themselves. Imagine this philosophy applied to a child, or someone with a mental handicap. At the same time, do not do for others that which they should be doing for themselves. We aren't libertarian islands, nor are we communists!
Agreed...but that's why she said "if you seek to aid EVERYONE...". Helping EVERYONE isn't feasible or smart. Helping those who are unable to is reasonable.
