The first time since 1984 that an incumbent lost the presidency after presiding over a positive increase in the S&P 500 in the three months leading up to election day.
The second time since 1964 that Florida did not vote for the winning candidate.
The second time since 1964 that the White House's party lost the presidency after one term.
The first time since 1960 that a candidate won the presidency without winning Ohio.
The first time since 1948 an incumbent lost reelection despite having an approval rating over 48% (Trump has a 51% approval rating).
The third time since 1912 that a candidate with a weaker primary performance won the election.
