I don’t think he sold the seat. It is something he was sent to jail for. I think Obama was pissed that Blago would not give him the power to assign it to Valerie or one of his friends. Blago was looking for options but like all democrats he knew he had something of value and thought he could leverage it. The Democrat Chicago way. He got thrown under the bus. I read portions of the case file and he was passing favors for campaign donations. Personal knowledge. I don’t know Vargas.

Edit: I checked, Obama announced his resignation on the 13th, election was on the 4th. So same amount of time has passed as of today. If Harris goes much longer without resigning, it's suspicious.
