The Liberals pride is intellect... They perceive themselves as more intelligent and compared to the mean this may be true but as someone who suffers from being stupidly smart let me attest to value of common wisdom, common sense.

Intellect can tie you in knots, as you become a slave to information seeking to understand everything to finding the pattern in everything one encounters... Those with more normal intelligence learn to focus their understanding to prune out unnecessary extraneous information earlier and adapt faster to novel environments finding a useful role early.
