He was center + nihilistic before election, he stayed center + nihilistic during election, he is still center + nihilistic.
don't know what you want from the guy, he spend 3 months prior to election saying several times a day that he is not MAGA. He was quite open about what made him vote for Trump and at no point was it any kind of MAGA sentiment.
And since election, he was entirely consistent in saying Trump should keep fighting (as a true centrist should) but expecting swamp to win (because he was always nihilistic).
Tl,DR - at my most generous, I would say a lot of people saw what they wanted to see (him converting) instead of seeing what actually was - the left got so crazy he decided to vote not FOR Trump, but AGAINST the left, and nothing more. And he said that's what he was doing, every step of the way.
At my least generous, I think 99% of people smearing him are salty crackers jealous that this guy built up his own little media empire from literally nothing and is now one of the most influential people in the country.
