He also potentially caused an apple maggot infestation in Chelan and Douglas counties when he visited there on a goodwill visit after the devastating fires back in September. He picked apples from his tree at the gov mansion in Olympia (Thurston county and part of the apple maggot quarantine zone) and brought them as a gift when he visited out there and started passing them around.

I get that most people don’t really think about these kinds of regulations... but wtf he’s the governor of our state. Was there not one knowledgeable person on his staff to say “hey, no, we can’t do this.”

But he said he’s sorry... so it’s ok. 🙄

Oh wow, I hope not. I thought that they had managed to collect and destroy them since someone out there recognized the problem pretty quickly. If they tried to fine them I hope they told them to get lost.

Plus, who brings the people that have huge apple orchards and millions of apples... MORE apples?? Couldn’t he have brought them, idk, salmon or something from western Washington lol!

And just for the record, I also hate the way he says “Washingtonians”, is drives me crazy for some reason 😂😂
