Totally. Im surprised not one of the state election official thought of this. If these officials are bitching about mUh cOvId and require all this distancing then this would've have been a perfect way to monitor the tallies. Of course this would've gotten them a free slot on candid camera so of course they didnt want that.
What I also find suprising is under what law did these officers enforce removing poll watchers. Sounds like multiple lawsuits can be filed here. IANAL. I'm sorry, but they sound more like hired thugs to me and I come from a family full of law enforcement.
Agreed. Open source software (in addition to machines being only used for counting, requiring all machines used be manufactured in the US, and not be connected to internet) was one of the measures put forward a few years ago in Gabbard's 'SAFE' election integrity legislation that no one in congress seemed to want to touch with a 10 ft pole (especially fellow Dems- for obvious reasons.)
These counting rooms should be set up with Casino level surveillance. 4K cameras everywhere. Totally open for anyone to watch it online.

They aren't worried about lawsuits, right now it's "get rid of Trump, at any cost" mode for them.
They don't want cameras. That makes cheating a lot more difficult.
Just like Epstein's prison cell that miraculously shuts off when 'he necks himself'.
Plus the code for any software used in the election should be open.

That should have passed with bipartisan support.
And just like the good old days, cheaters get escorted to the back to get taught a lesson in stealing.
But that would also make absentee ballots not confidential. At that point, you could vote by putting your ballot on your website or social media.
Not a real concern as by nature they aren't confidential due to the verification needed on them even if its just a signature match.
