The whole blue states support red states argument could not be further from the truth.
Conflates all federal spending with welfare.
Military bases and payroll are not welfare. Farming subsidies to protect national security is not welfare.

With the exception of maybe VT and MA, there are no blue states, only blue counties (cities). The rest is all red
Colorado. The county map is about 50/50, and the gun laws aren't pure cancer yet, but based on how the last election went here, Colorado is bluer than California, and possibly approaching New York.
I'm planning on getting out as soon as I can save up money and my current lease is up.
Note that in CO, as soon as the rats took power, they implemented all-mail voting. That is their plan for the entire country.
It doesn't help that we've actually had mostly democrat governors for the last 50 years, and consequentially our state supreme court is as blue as it gets, and all of them under 50.

The farmers used their tractors to block a major railway line. The media was forced to report their grievances.

Yup. I work in a small factory with maybe 90 employees. If we refuse to work we shut down 4 car assembly plants and multiple others in different industries. We’ve already discussed taking part in a general strike.

Food is so far from an issue for me. I ran into dire financial straits this year, and the one thing everyone wanted to help with was food.

Did some dumbass politician say something about truckers? I was listening to a bit of Larry the Cable Guy's morning podcast on the way into work this morning and when I turned it on he was talking about how if the truckers ever went on strike for a week it would cripple people's every day lives.

But the cities from say 30k-100k which are considered smaller at least here in Texas, there are doctors, lawyers, educators getting priced out. There are also retirees in these communities that get priced out after-the-fact.

The problem with that is when the supply gets too low the rates go through the roof and since every person with a brain likes money they would take food to these places if the price is right. In the end, the consumer pays more for food.
