The law said both sides were allowed a certain number of challengers and the piece of shit cops targeted people for their political beliefs who were there in an official capacity. God forbid Republicans get power, we might destroy the utopia the dems have built for themselves in Detroit.

It was critical to get people to accept the idea that there different rules in play so that they could then arbitrarily make up rules that would benefit the Dems.
For example, "kicking out pollwatchers is illegal and very wrong" became "kicking out pollwatchers is entirely legal due to health concerns and now grandma is safe".
