If you have and understand a Greek NT, you'll see the comma is in the right place. Luke 16:19-31 says that the poor man was in Abraham's bosom, which is Paradise and the rich man was in Hades. OT was correct in that we physically sleep but spiritually we still exist. I think there's a misunderstanding with regards to Paradice being the same as Heaven. It is not. Paradise was where Man was before being sent out and where the righteous will go after death. Heaven is the realm of God where only Holiness exists so we may not go there for only One is Truly Holy. Hades is the place where those who've died in their sins will go. All this until the final judgment. Seems like you're either following some recent innovations or just haven't read the Fathers of the early Church. Keep studying and asking for guidance. You'll get there. Until then, peace brother.
