I'm never going there. My wife and friends, still in their university party mentality, say I gotta go. It's fun they say. You can have an open container they say.
You can murdered in broad daylight by savages and your murder will never be solved or avenged, I say.
Almost all buildings in NOLA are infested with rats. That's just what it is. Gumbo and shit is good but its overrated. You can make all that cajun shit better at home. Drinking in public? I can do that from the safety of my porch or just put it in another container and walk around. There's literally nothing attractive about NOLA.
Im not sure about now but statistics a couple years ago showed they had as high a murder as El Salvador or Belize I cant remember. Those shit holes are hare to keep track of.
I lived there. The crime is breathtaking. The corruption is just as bad. I have countless stories of brazen crime. To be fair, it’s been super corrupt since it was founded. You’ll never see poverty and illiteracy at the levels seen in Nola. It’s still the most interesting city in America. The music, food, history, architecture, cultures, visitors, smells.... I miss it but realized it felt really good not to be nervous at an ATM or going down a dark street alone in the quarter. Now I live in a small midwestern town that is clean and safe. Won’t ever go back.
Suspects are black and speak fluent jigaboo. NOLA is a crime infested shithole. Visit. Drink. Have fun. Gtfo
