I totally agree with you and your dad, but I'm curious about his argument for how gay marriage normalizes pedophilia. Does it have to do with gay adoptions?
Btw, years ago, one of my best friends came out as gay and got "married". I was supportive of his choice at first, even if I think gay marriage is bad for society.
But recently, when hanging out with him and his partner, I just get such a weird vibe from the whole arrangement. It's even changed my friend in not-so-good ways. Honestly, he seemed more mentally stable when he was in the closet.

I don't think there's anything wrong with gay marriage either. Maybe your friend is in a bad relationship? Abuse happens everywhere.
