I've been WFH full time since 2016, so I was used to it well before COVID. I'm all on board with most office workers working remote most of the time. Even if companies want to do once or twice a month bringing people into the office or having people come in for only major meetings or during busy times (e.g., month/quarter close for accountants)... Either way, it gets people off the roads, saves wear and tear on the roads and vehicles, saves people time with having to commute, allows people more time with their families and more flexibility with work schedules. Either way, it's a big win for the most part. Sure, there are some downsides, but overall it's an improvement.
Working from home affects major industries. Think about Construction, Engineering, Design, Architecture, Office Supplies, Furniture, Tech (Computers, Phones, Copiers) Real Estate Agents, Property Management Companies, and the list goes on and on.
For every 'positive' thing you mentioned, there are plenty of negatives I can point out.
No one is dying from Covid either. This is purest form of propaganda the world has ever seen.
The 200,000 people who have supposedly died from covid was confirned by the CDC to be false and that only a tenth of that was accurate. The rest were fat, diabetics, old and weak immuned.
We have a 99.9% survival rate and for the world leaders and state governments to be acting like they are doing right now is worthy of the death penalty.
Even worse. The world leaders are worthy of public executions for how they are contining this evil and fear mongering that was manifested for their world wide control over the masses. God above will be judging them extremely harsh these next few months.
Man, my college is still in person. They are just asking us we return 2 weeks early before start of semester for quarantine before classes start. Other then that, and stupid masks rules cause Gov. Blackface, things have been normal
I do not want you to provide me with Physical Therapy if you are not properly trained!
Please provide the name of this institution so that we can check and remove them from our company recommendation list. We require all of our suggested Physical Therapists to be properly and accurately trained.
All those white collar workers and, most importantly, bureaucrats are loving working from home, so there's no motivation at all to do anything different. If people want to work from home and their company/government is ok with it, that's fine and up to them. But please stop artificially forcing this shit under the false guise of covid in areas where it hurts people.
Lockdowns are hurting all students. I am forced to give my students a watered-down version of what I normally do and I am expected to teach a semester's worth of curriculum in 40% of the contact time.
And even with the lighter load, more than half of my students are failing because they aren't doing any work and won't come to office hours for help. American students are being cheated out of a year of education and will be handicapped for years.
Then stop paying for a fake education! If I go to a restaurant and they show me a photo of a steak and a potato, I'll leave!! Why is this so hard to figure out?
I am lead IT for nursing and this came from the Dean himself. He even implied that he hopes we get back by next September. In Canada this isn't going away until people fight back. That is why they are talking about enacting Covid camps.
Your school is run by kiddie fucking money laundering treasonous SWAMP creatures who are going ahead w the globalists world reset which would lock us down for YEARS maybe forever!
Was not expecting this when I was accepted we were repeatedly told we would be returning but the date keeps getting pushed back. At this point I’m $45k deep but I hear you.
I’m a professor, and throughout this semester I’ve been lobbying my administration about getting students back face-to-face. We just got word that spring is all online again. It’s a disgrace that students have to pay for remote education—especially for classes that are traditionally hands on (labs, clinicals, etc).
Please don’t stop lobbying. There are about 50 students in my class and EVERY SINGLE ONE is disappointed. Even the most devoted and highest performing students are struggling. The biggest issue is the lack of feedback. It’s nearly impossible to watch 50 students over video conference and we no longer able to go over tests after we take them to see what we got wrong for “fear of cheating” because they’re online.
My daughters school (private university) has managed to stay 75 percent in class this term. They want the $$$$ from the form fees. It’s been the only thing keeping them afloat.
Hey man, if you're going for physical therapy, be aware that when you start looking for jobs private clinics are renowned for fucking over recent graduates. They all say the same thing, we will train you, but what that means is that we will tell you bullshit is normal. Off the clock paperwork for 3 hours every night, NORMAL! Doubling/Tripling up patients, NORMAL! According to dumbass boss at the job my GF just left and reported anonymously. This might be anecdotal but a quick peruse through some medical journals shows that it's a huge problem in the industry.
remote physical therapy??
yep, no refund for the included facility fees or anything
Yes, my employer is staging for (get this!) JULY 2021.
We have been WFH since the end of March.
CRAAAZY timeline we are living right now. Things will never be the same as before the dem panic.
The only upside is with all the WFH there's no traffic anymore.

Nope. It's not an overall improvement.

just to clarify, it was less than 1/20th.

"Noooooo! But we need to #StopTheSpread! If we don't lock down, millions of grandmarinos will die! Stop being selfish!"

We may actually be the only PT school from in my state that are still virtual. At least from what I’ve heard so far
Millions of lives are thing ruined

Can’t say that I blame you to be honest
My entire office literally all tested COVID "+" 3 weeks ago. Nobody died. Everyone now back working with super charged immune systems.

Switch your major to critical race theory. Problem sloved.
Unfortunately my second choice, lesbian dance theory, wasn’t an option in undergrad

Being $45,000 grand deep makes that difficult Was not expecting this experience when I was accepted but I hear you.
Pharmacy school is the same for me. Spring classes online if it’s more than 40 people per class
Work for a university and we are not going back until September. Was announced discreetly around 2 weeks ago.
That’s ridiculous. This is my biggest fear. We were supposed to return a month ago but of course it keeps extending.

Seems like students should be able to sue as a class (heh) due to the harm caused.
Why even pay for inferior service?

My school was cancelled "until further notice" yesterday.
So the number of days I've had of school this year so far is equal to the number of terms Trump will have.
My daughters school (private university) has managed to stay 75 percent in class this term. They want the $$$$ from the form fees. It’s been the only thing keeping them afloat.
We’ll see about next term.
Same for my son's law school. Bunch of BS.

I am aware because I watched it happened when I was a tech before school, and that is a huge worry. Believe me
Zoom trained physical therapists, nurses and doctors.
The fucking horror
The clown world continues
You should get. A 75% discount.
This is so weird to me. I'm guessing you live in a big city somewhere. Move out of the city, life is normal.
liberal city in a red state
