This is disgusting, but I'm not surprised there was an internal revolt.
My law school (top -15) was full of liberal, privileged, private school attending, coastal city children. That's who you get in most of the big firms because they want to sell clients on having associates who went to top ranking law schools. I said a while back they should avoid big law and find a gritty, boutique firm with knowledge.
A lot of people want to go with Big Law and Big 4 CPA firms, but they over charge and the talent isn't necessarily better than local firms. I've worked for both, and they're full of it.
