CISA is a standalone United States federal agency, an operational component under Department of Homeland Security oversight - tho i think it has something to do w/the CIA so i dunno if i believe this much.
I had been thinking that they should just run elections like a gambling operation. So much research and development has already gone into casino tallying, verification, and security. I'm sure it would adapt nicely to a voting system.

Remember "trust Jeff Sessions, trust the plan" back then? Trump has been stumbling from one victory to another on the basis of charisma and balls. But now neither of those will help him in Georgia or Arizona where apparently the state GOP leadership would not give a rat's ass if Trump dropped dead today. And charisma and balls won't help win cases in court.
Trump isn't even showing himself in public. He is losing the persuasion battle to the point where it is becoming more and more difficult to expect GOP state legislatures to override the election results of their states. That is a radical move for the timid creatures that populate legislatures, they need motivation and rationalisation for such a bare-knuckle power play.

Leaving the country at the mercy of the mass media and social media for weeks is letting the public and the legislators accept Biden as the actual next president, then it becomes difficult to expect them to just throw out their state's election results. That's a big fucking step no one wants to have to take.
