We have slam dunk evidence already. Problem is, people who keep being weak like your proposal of waiting supports, have caused this to continue to the point where there are millions of highly radicalized leftists in this country. It cannot end without war because weak people refused to draw a line years ago. Continuing to double down on weakness won't fix the problem.
