I see a lot of posts asking for vote audits. In general, “audits” are very limited checks of a sample of ballots. “Recounts” just count all the ballots again without checking their legality. That’s what the GA SOS is now trying to get away with.

What you all want are CANVASSES or RECANVASSES, where the validity of all the ballots are confirmed by looking at the envelopes.

If you call your state representative or SOS and ask for audits you’re not requesting the right thing.

"Audit" every fucking ballot.

Envelopes have been separated from the ballot and most likely destroyed.

Confirming destruction would probably help as the ballots would be invalid I expect. In PA, they’re supposed to retain the envelopes for 2 years.

If the ballots were mixed in and they couldn’t undo the impact of those ballots, it would taint the entire election.

If they're comingled how would they know which ballots came with an envelope?

If they can’t remove the ballots from the mix, but they find huge numbers of bad envelopes then the entire district vote is suspect. You’d need to figure out how to narrow the bad batch and remove the votes. It would give the Supreme Court the basis to toss Phila and Pittsburgh votes and blame it on the morons who didn’t do their jobs (indeed, who willfully violated the law to make it impossible to screen out the fraudulent ballots). Phila and Pittsburgh would have to run another snap vote or the PA legislature would have figure out what to do in electing electors.
