After having voted for hope and change and getting neither, the idea of withdrawing troops was one of the reasons why I voted Trump in 2016 and 2020. The military empire is a huge drag on the US economy in monetary and human terms.

US troops in Europe and Middle East are completely unnecessary, one is rich enough to pay for its own armies and the other is even richer.

We have enough weapons to effectively defend ourselves.
