Lol their explanation is the most contrived thing I've ever read.

"historically evoked genocide for some."

Translation: Some people read this and had bad feelings. Those bad feelings made them think of native american genocide. So we had to remove these books.

Next book to remove Fahrenheit 451. O wait...

Half the time it's not "some people had bad feelings", it's "some people had feelings that some other people might have bad feelings"

My favorite books as a child. I found it so interesting how the books describe mundane daily life in those times. How they made bread. How they survived winter. What schools were like. I loved these books and still own copies of the entire series.
