Yes, but other religions say that Christian stuff is all fake, and they have their own holy books that say that their God is the correct one. Those holy books can be read, cited and believed just as much as the Christian ones can be read, cited and believed.
There is no independent objective evidence that any one is more correct or supported than any other one.
So which one is right? The religion somebody happened to be born into? That seems pretty random and unlikely, doesn't it?
No, it is against the grain of logic to believe in Christ, and yet it is undeniable to those of us which are saved by His grace. It may seem like foolishness, because it is, but I will be foolish for Christ. That is the evidence it is true.
The main difference between Christianity and all other religions is that Christianity does not have a set of rules to follow to make you worthy of Heaven. Implicit trust must be placed in the suffering God-man, Christ. Sin must be paid for. We sinned. We broke God's law. Jesus paid the fine. Therefore God can forgive the death sentence that is upon us if we believe that He died for our sins. That is what happened on the cross- payment for sins! No other religion teaches that kind of redemption. They teach works based enlightenment in Buddhism. They teach works based earning Heaven in Islam. Christianity says none of us are worthy of Heaven, but we are freely given grace just for believing.
What if c-a-t really spelled dog?
